DescriptionCVE.org

Quivr through 0.0.322 fails to validate ownership in prompt endpoints, allowing authenticated users to modify any prompt by identifier. Attackers with read-only access to shared brains can read exposed prompt identifiers and overwrite system prompts affecting all brain users.

AnalysisAI

Prompt endpoint ownership validation failure in Quivr through 0.0.322 enables authenticated users with only read-only brain access to overwrite any system prompt by supplying a harvested prompt identifier to an unprotected write endpoint. The IDOR flaw (CWE-639) means that low-privileged authenticated accounts can silently corrupt AI brain behavior for all users of a shared brain, with no elevated privileges required beyond a valid session. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Exploitation requires a valid authenticated Quivr account (PR:L per CVSS 4.0 vector - unauthenticated access is insufficient). … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 4.0 vector (AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N) confirms network-reachable exploitation requiring only low-privileged authentication, no special attack conditions, and no victim interaction - a low barrier for any authenticated insider or compromised account. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation No specific patched release version is confirmed in the available intelligence - the advisory identifies v0.0.322 as the last known-vulnerable version but does not cite an explicit fixed release, so patch availability should be treated as upstream fix available per vendor issue (PR/commit) but released patched version not independently confirmed. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.

Recommended ActionAI

Within 24 hours: inventory Quivr deployments running version 0.0.322 or earlier and identify shared brains across multiple users; restrict or revoke read-only access to sensitive brains. …
