DescriptionCVE.org

Vulnerability in the Oracle Scripting product of Oracle E-Business Suite (component: Internal Operations). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.3-12.2.15. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Scripting. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized creation, deletion or modification access to critical data or all Oracle Scripting accessible data as well as unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Scripting accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Oracle Scripting. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 7.1 (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:L).

AnalysisAI

Oracle Scripting versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.15 within Oracle E-Business Suite exposes an Internal Operations component vulnerability allowing low-privileged, network-based attackers to achieve full confidentiality and integrity compromise of all Scripting-accessible data, plus partial service disruption. The "Authentication Bypass" tag from the intelligence feed creates a notable tension with the CVSS PR:L assignment - if the bypass allows unauthenticated users to obtain a low-privilege session context, the effective attack surface is wider than the CVSS vector alone suggests. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Exploitation requires a low-privileged authenticated account on the Oracle E-Business Suite instance (PR:L per CVSS), with HTTP network access to the Oracle Scripting component (AV:N). … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 3.1 score of 7.1 (High) reflects genuinely severe potential impact - C:H and I:H mean all Scripting data can be read and modified - but AC:H materially reduces exploitability compared to simpler vulnerabilities. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation Apply the Oracle Critical Security Patch Update for August 2026, which addresses CVE-2026-70809 for Oracle Scripting; the advisory is at https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cspuaug2026.html. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.
