Network endpoint, trivial request (AC:L), any authenticated viewer suffices (PR:L), no interaction; full cross-tenant read of resource specs gives C:H with no integrity or availability impact.

Perses is an open-source dashboard and visualization project for observability data. Prior to 0.54.0-beta.3, an authenticated user with viewer access to one project can supply another project through the project query parameter on project-scoped list endpoints, including /api/v1/projects/{project}/dashboards and /api/v1/datasources. The request-controlled project value is used to select dashboards, datasources, and variables without enforcing the caller's authorization for that selected project, which breaks project-level tenant isolation and exposes complete resource specifications belonging to other projects. This issue is fixed in version 0.54.0-beta.3.
AnalysisAI
Authenticated users holding only viewer rights on a single project can read the dashboards, datasources, and variables of every other project in Perses deployments prior to 0.54.0-beta.3, by overriding the project in scope with a client-supplied 'project' query parameter on project-scoped list endpoints. Exploitation requires a low-privilege authenticated account (PR:L), needs no user interaction or non-default configuration, and yields read-only cross-tenant disclosure of full resource specifications rather than any modification. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Requires an authenticated Perses account with at least viewer role on any single project (PR:L); no admin rights, user interaction, or non-default configuration are needed. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | This is a genuine but bounded authorization flaw (IDOR/BOLA, CWE-639), not a high-CVSS-but-low-risk artifact. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Upgrade to Perses 0.54.0-beta.3 or later, the vendor-released patch that removes the vulnerable manageQuery logic (commit 8015fb340bdc625953e73a7a688be5b939159540, release tag v0.54.0-beta.3); the GitHub Security Advisory GHSA-cjgj-2fwf-4c2w is the authoritative reference. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
Recommended ActionAI
Within 24 hours, inventory all Perses instances and identify any running a version below 0.54.0-beta.3, then prioritize multi-tenant or customer-facing deployments for remediation and restrict who currently holds accounts with access to any project. …
