2DescriptionCVE.org
Vulnerability in the Oracle Email Center product of Oracle E-Business Suite (component: Message Component). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.3-12.2.15. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Email Center. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and while the vulnerability is in Oracle Email Center, attacks may significantly impact additional products (scope change). Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Email Center accessible data as well as unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Oracle Email Center accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 8.2 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:L/A:N).
AnalysisAI
Oracle Email Center versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.15 contains a network-exploitable authentication bypass in its Message Component that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to gain unauthorized access to critical data and perform limited data manipulation via HTTP, contingent on victim user interaction. The scope change embedded in the CVSS vector (S:C) indicates successful exploitation can extend impact beyond Email Center to other Oracle E-Business Suite components, materially amplifying real-world risk beyond the immediate application boundary. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Exploitation requires that a person other than the attacker - specifically an individual with access to Oracle Email Center - performs active interaction with attacker-controlled content, such as clicking a crafted HTTP link or loading a malicious request within the Email Center application context (UI:R per CVSS vector). … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 3.1 score of 8.2 is substantiated by a network attack vector (AV:N), low attack complexity (AC:L), no privilege requirement (PR:N), a scope change (S:C), and high confidentiality impact - a combination that reflects a genuinely high-severity flaw rather than score inflation. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Apply Oracle's Critical Patch Update for August 2026, available at https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cspuaug2026.html. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
