SolidInvoice is an open-source invoicing platform. Prior to version 3.0.1, UserInvitation entities have no expiry timestamp. Invitation links mailed to users remain valid indefinitely, meaning a leaked, forwarded, or archived invitation email can be used at any time in the future to join a company or silently add a compromised email account to a company. Version 3.0.1 fixes the issue.
AnalysisAI
Invitation links in SolidInvoice prior to version 3.0.1 never expire because UserInvitation entities carry no expiry timestamp, leaving any emailed invitation token permanently valid. An attacker who obtains a past invitation link - through email forwarding, archiving, or account compromise - can use it at any future point to join a company's SolidInvoice account or silently enroll a compromised email address as a member. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Exploitation requires the attacker to possess a SolidInvoice UserInvitation URL that was previously generated and emailed to any address on the affected instance - no time constraint applies in versions before 3.0.1. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 6.8 score (AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N) appropriately reflects moderate real-world risk: AC:H signals that exploitation requires the attacker to already possess a leaked invitation link, and UI:R indicates the link must be actively used. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | Upgrade SolidInvoice to version 3.0.1, which introduces expiry handling and administrative management actions for user invitations (PR #2511). … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
