Executive ViewAI
Oracle Commerce Guided Search 11.4.0 contains a critical vulnerability enabling complete system compromise via low-privilege HTTP access to the Content Acquisition System. Organizations using this platform face loss of commerce operations, customer data exposure, and cascading impacts to connected systems due to scope change. No vendor patch currently exists, requiring immediate containment through compensating controls.
Within 24 hours, implement network segmentation to restrict HTTP access to the Content Acquisition System component of Oracle Commerce Guided Search 11.4.0 from untrusted sources, and audit all system accounts to revoke unnecessary low-privilege access. Within 7 days, engage Oracle Support for vendor mitigation guidance, deploy Web Application Firewall rules to monitor and block suspicious requests, and establish enhanced monitoring for indicators of compromise. Within 30 days, execute a vendor-negotiated patch deployment plan or schedule migration to a patched Oracle Commerce Experience Manager version if available, while maintaining enhanced security posture during the interim period.
No vendor-released patch identified at time of analysis. Restrict HTTP access to the vulnerable Content Acquisition System component via network segmentation, enforce principle of least privilege for all user accounts, deploy WAF rules to detect and block anomalous requests, enable comprehensive audit logging of system access and configuration changes, and maintain incident response readiness for rapid containment if compromise is detected.
