AnalysisAIv1 – Jul 22, 2026

Full compromise of the Oracle Quality module within Oracle E-Business Suite (Internal Operations component, versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.15) is possible for a low-privileged, authenticated attacker reaching the application over HTTP. Successful attacks lead to complete takeover of Oracle Quality with high confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact, though Oracle rates the attack complexity as high. There is no public exploit identified at time of analysis and it is not listed in CISA KEV.

Executive ViewAI

Why It Matters

Oracle E-Business Suite Quality module (versions 12.2.3-12.2.15) contains a flaw enabling authenticated users to achieve full compromise of quality assurance operations, affecting data integrity and regulatory compliance oversight. This threat requires privileged access but bypasses Quality module authorization controls entirely, creating an insider risk that could disrupt supply chain quality checks and product safety documentation.

Recommended Action

Within 24 hours, inventory all Oracle E-Business Suite deployments running Quality module versions 12.2.3-12.2.15 and immediately restrict module access to system administrators only, removing all low-privilege user access. Within 7 days, implement mandatory network-level controls requiring VPN or IP whitelisting for Quality module access, enable multi-factor authentication for Quality sessions, and conduct an access audit to remove residual low-privilege grants. Within 30 days, monitor Oracle Security Alerts for vendor patch releases and schedule upgrade to Quality module version 12.2.16 or later immediately upon release; if no patch is available within 90 days, begin evaluating alternative quality management systems.

Business Impact: High
Compensating Controls

Restrict Quality module access to administrative accounts only; enforce network-level access controls (VPN requirement, static IP whitelisting, WAF rules if applicable); require multi-factor authentication for all Quality module sessions; implement detailed audit logging of all Quality module access, configuration changes, and data modifications; establish real-time alerting on Quality module login failures and privilege escalation attempts.

What every action level means
Emergency Immediate action required. Criteria: CRITICAL + in CISA KEV (actively exploited) without patch, OR CRITICAL + EPSS > 30% without patch, OR CRITICAL + active threat signals without patch.
Act Now Prioritize within 24-48h. Criteria: in KEV with patch available, OR CRITICAL + public POC, OR HIGH + EPSS > 10%, OR CRITICAL + active threat, OR any CRITICAL severity.
This Week Schedule remediation this week. Criteria: HIGH severity (CVSS 7.0-8.9). Patch within normal change window.
This Month Plan within 30 days. Criteria: MEDIUM severity (CVSS 4.0-6.9), lower exploitation probability. Include in regular patch cycle.
Monitor Track and reassess. Criteria: LOW severity (CVSS 0.1-3.9), minimal exploitation risk. No immediate action needed.
