DescriptionCVE.org

The Cozy Blocks - Page Builder for Gutenberg Editor & FSE with 700+ Patterns, 58 Blocks & Templates plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 2.2.17. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to retrieve the name, price, short description, image URL, permalink, stock status, and product type of draft, pending, private, and catalog-hidden WooCommerce products not intended to be publicly visible. The sidebarNonce value is emitted unconditionally into public page HTML by multiple block renderers with no login gate, allowing unauthenticated visitors to harvest a valid nonce and pass the only authentication check in the handler.

AnalysisAI

Authorization bypass in the Cozy Blocks WordPress plugin (all versions through 2.2.17) exposes WooCommerce product metadata intentionally hidden from the public - including names, prices, stock status, and image URLs of draft, pending, private, and catalog-hidden products - to unauthenticated visitors. The root cause is that multiple block renderers unconditionally emit a sidebarNonce into public page HTML regardless of visitor authentication state, allowing anyone to harvest a valid nonce and satisfy the AJAX handler's sole authorization check. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI

Exploitation Exploitation requires three concurrent conditions on the target site: the Cozy Blocks plugin must be installed at version 2.2.17 or earlier; WooCommerce must be active on the same WordPress installation; and at least one of the four affected block types (wishlist, featured-product, product-tab, or featured-product-tabs) must be rendered on a publicly accessible page so that the sidebarNonce is emitted into public HTML. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment.
Risk Assessment The CVSS 5.3 Medium score and vector AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N accurately characterize this vulnerability: network-accessible, zero-complexity exploitation with no privileges required and impact confined to limited confidentiality loss. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in.
Exploit Scenario Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in.
Remediation Update the Cozy Blocks plugin to the latest available version beyond 2.2.17 via the WordPress plugin repository; an upstream fix has been committed at WordPress SVN changeset 3658120, but the exact released patched version number is not independently confirmed from the available input data and should be verified against the Wordfence advisory at https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/f18e25ed-477b-43ae-9661-0f2c4fecd322 before deploying. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report.
