Baserow 2.3.3 contains a SQL injection vulnerability in the index() formula function. A low-privileged authenticated user who can create or modify formula fields can provide an undocumented fourth argument that is treated as a SQL template and interpolated directly into a PostgreSQL expression.
The vulnerable expression is executed when Baserow recalculates formula field values. Because the generated SQL runs through Baserow's database connection, the injected SQL executes with the privileges of the Baserow PostgreSQL role rather than the permissions of the authenticated application user.
This issue affects Baserow: 2.3.3.
AnalysisAI
SQL injection in Baserow 2.3.3's index() formula function allows low-privileged authenticated users to supply an undocumented fourth argument that is interpolated directly into a PostgreSQL expression without sanitization. Because formula recalculation runs through Baserow's shared database connection, injected SQL executes with the Baserow PostgreSQL role's privileges - bypassing application-layer access controls and granting read and write access to all database contents reachable by that role. …

Vulnerability AssessmentAI
| Exploitation | Exploitation requires a valid Baserow user account with permission to create or modify formula fields within at least one workspace table - this is a standard capability for regular (non-guest) Baserow users and does not require administrator or workspace-owner privileges. … Additional conditions and limiting factors are described in the full assessment. |
| Risk Assessment | The CVSS 4.0 score of 8.6 (AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:N) is well-calibrated to the actual attack model: network-reachable SQL injection requiring only a low-privileged account, with high confidentiality and integrity impact at the database role level. … Full risk analysis with EPSS, KEV, and SSVC signal comparison available after sign-in. |
| Exploit Scenario | Full exploit scenario with step-by-step reproduction available after sign-in. |
| Remediation | No specific patched version is identified in the available data - the Fluid Attacks advisory and Baserow GitHub repository (https://github.com/baserow/baserow) should be monitored for an official fix release. … Detailed patch versions, workarounds, and compensating controls in full report. |
Recommended ActionAI
Within 24 hours: Disable the index() formula function through configuration if possible, or restrict formula-editing privileges to administrators only; identify which users currently have formula-creation capabilities. …
