| Exploitation Conditions | Exploitation requires a valid authenticated account within the target tenant (PR:L); the attacker simply adds the header data-permission-enable: false to requests under /admin-api (and, per the fix, /app-api). No non-default configuration, user interaction, or elevated privilege is needed - the pre-patch DataPermissionRpcWebFilter trusts this header on all request paths by default. Limiting factors: the attacker must already hold tenant credentials, and the exposed data is confined to other departments' and users' records within the same tenant (no cross-tenant access described). |
| Impact | The CVSS 4.0 score of 7.1 (High) reflects a low-complexity, network-reachable trust-boundary flaw (CWE-807, reliance on an untrusted HTTP input for a security decision): AV:N, AC:L, AT:N, PR:L, UI:N with VC:H and VI:L. The signals are internally consistent - the source diff confirms DataPermissionRpcWebFilter trusted the data-permission-enable header on externally reachable /admin-api and /app-api paths, so exploitation is trivial for anyone holding a valid tenant account, with no race, timing, or attacker-uncontrolled precondition implied by the metrics. No CISA KEV listing and no EPSS score are provided in the input, so widespread or automated exploitation cannot be asserted; a public PoC reference exists (a hackmd write-up and the VulnCheck advisory) but is not verified as working exploit code. The vuln.today Decision label is this_week, indicating this should be prioritized for patching this week rather than treated as an emergency. Net: a genuine, easily-triggered authorization bypass whose real-world urgency is tempered by the PR:L requirement (a valid authenticated account) and the same-tenant confinement of the exposed data, with impact weighted toward confidentiality (VC:H) and limited integrity (VI:L), no availability impact. |
| Exploit ScenarioDerived | A low-privileged but authenticated user of a yudao-cloud tenant (for example an ordinary employee account) adds the HTTP header data-permission-enable: false to a normal /admin-api request such as a customer or user listing. The DataPermissionRpcWebFilter honors the header and disables row-level data-scope filtering, returning or letting them modify records belonging to other departments and users in the same tenant. A public write-up describing the technique exists, though it is not verified as working exploit code. |

Alert meAnalysisAIv1 – Oct 24, 2026
Row-level data-scope enforcement in yudao-cloud through 2026.09 can be switched off by any authenticated tenant user who sends a 'data-permission-enable: false' header on requests to /admin-api (and /app-api), letting them read or modify records belonging to other departments and users inside the same tenant. The flaw is a trust-boundary error (CWE-807): DataPermissionRpcWebFilter honours that header on every request path instead of only on internal /rpc-api calls, so no special configuration, user interaction, or elevated role is needed beyond a valid account. Rated High at CVSS 4.0 7.1 (assessed 3.1: AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/C:H/I:L/A:N); no public exploit code was identified at time of analysis, though a third-party technical writeup of the header bypass is referenced, and the vendor has published an upstream fix commit.
RemediationAI
Apply the upstream fix commit https://github.com/YunaiV/yudao-cloud/commit/4e415cd6c30d3abb929a127bb7038101d9f4c943, which adds a shouldNotFilter override so DataPermissionRpcWebFilter only processes the data-permission-enable header for paths under /rpc-api/ (after removing the context path) and ignores it for /admin-api, /app-api and lookalike prefixes; released patched version numbers are not independently confirmed from the provided data, so confirm the fix is present in your build rather than assuming a tag. If the commit cannot be deployed immediately, the equivalent compensating control is a gateway rule that strips or rejects any client-supplied data-permission-enable header on external routes before the request reaches backend services, accepting that internal RPC callers that legitimately use the header must be routed on a separate trusted path and that any other service relying on the same header name would stop receiving it. Deployments that cannot change routing at all can reduce exposure by restricting network access to backend services so that /admin-api and /app-api traffic can only arrive via the gateway, at the cost of extra network segmentation work and no protection against an authenticated tenant user. Detection can focus on authenticated requests carrying data-permission-enable set to false against non-/rpc-api paths.

Technical ContextAI · show details
Yudao-cloud is a Spring Cloud microservice framework whose yudao-spring-boot-starter-biz-data-permission module implements MyBatis-level row filtering via a DataPermission annotation and DataPermissionContextHolder. DataPermissionRpcWebFilter was designed to let internal service-to-service calls (RPC) opt out of data-permission checks by sending a header, but the pre-fix filter inspected that header on all inbound requests and pushed a disabled DataPermission context for the duration of the filter chain. Because the gateway (TokenAuthenticationFilter, which handles token authentication) forwards externally reachable /admin-api and /app-api traffic through the same filter stack, a client-supplied header was treated as an authoritative internal signal - the classic CWE-807 pattern of relying on an untrusted input for a security decision. The upstream fix adds a shouldNotFilter implementation that strips the context path from the request URI and applies the header logic only when the remaining path starts with the /rpc-api/ prefix, with unit tests confirming that /admin-api, /app-api, context-path-prefixed variants, and lookalike paths such as /rpc-api-fake are ignored while genuine /rpc-api/ requests still honour the switch. The existing CPE cpe:2.3:a:yunaiv:yudao-cloud:*:*:*:*:*:*:*:* covers all releases up to and including 2026.09.

Any authenticated tenant user can trivially forge the header over the network (PR:L, AC:L, UI:N); high confidentiality from reading others' records, limited integrity from modification, no availability impact.

DescriptionCVE.org
yudao-cloud through 2026.09 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability that allows authenticated users to evade row-level data scope restrictions by sending a data-permission-enable header set to false. Attackers can add this header to /admin-api requests, which DataPermissionRpcWebFilter trusts, to read or modify other departments' and users' records within the same tenant.
Executive ViewAI
The yudao-cloud platform contains a high-severity trust-boundary flaw that allows any authenticated user to bypass row-level data permissions by supplying a simple HTTP header, potentially exposing sensitive records across departments within the same tenant. This undermines the platform's core data isolation controls and could lead to unauthorized access to confidential business information, impacting customer trust and regulatory compliance.
