MITRE ATT&CK
2 techniques across 2 tactics: Initial Access, Execution The technique list with ATT&CK links and the kill-chain view is part of the Basic plan and up. |
| Exploitation Conditions | Exploitation requires (1) a valid authenticated QloApps back-office session at low privilege (PR:L) - the vulnerable endpoint is the admin Additional Facilities / global demand form (AdminRoomTypeGlobalDemand), not a public page; and (2) victim interaction (UI:P) - the authenticated admin must be induced to submit the crafted request whose price value fails validation and is reflected unescaped. Limiting factors: no self-service or unauthenticated path, dependence on social engineering of an existing admin, and applicability only to QloApps versions up to and including 1.7.0 (patched in PR #1809). These constraints make realistic risk notably lower than the network attack vector alone suggests. |
| Impact | This is a medium-severity reflected XSS (CVSS 4.0 base 5.1) whose real-world urgency is low across every available signal. The CVSS vector requires AV:N but also PR:L (an authenticated back-office session) and UI:P (the victim must be induced to submit a crafted request), which together block opportunistic mass exploitation. CISA's SSVC framework reinforces this: Exploitation=none, Automatable=no, Technical Impact=partial - i.e., no observed exploitation, not scriptable at scale, and only partial impact. No EPSS score was provided in the input, so probabilistic exploitation likelihood cannot be quantified here. The CVE is not in CISA KEV and no explicit POC flag was supplied, though a third-party technical write-up (hackmd) and a VulnCheck advisory document the flaw. Signals are consistent rather than conflicting: a real but low-priority vulnerability. The one caveat is attack vector - AV:N is technically correct (the payload travels over the network) but exploitation is gated behind an authenticated admin victim and social engineering, so treat it as an authenticated/assisted issue rather than a remote unauthenticated one. Note also the input Tags include 'Microsoft', which is erroneous (see data_quality_flags) and should not factor into targeting assumptions. |
| Exploit ScenarioDerived | An attacker crafts a request (or link/form) carrying a malicious script in the price parameter of the back-office Additional Facilities form, then socially engineers an already-authenticated QloApps back-office administrator into submitting it. When the value fails validation it is re-rendered unescaped, executing attacker JavaScript inside the admin session; a technical write-up exists but no weaponized public exploit code is confirmed in the input. |

Alert meAnalysisAIv1 – Oct 14, 2026
Reflected cross-site scripting in the QloApps back-office (all versions through 1.7.0, per EUVD QloApps 0 <= 1.7.0) lets an attacker run arbitrary JavaScript inside an authenticated administrator's session by supplying a crafted value to the price parameter of the Additional Facilities (global demand) form, which is re-rendered unescaped after the input fails validation. Exploitation is tightly constrained: the endpoint is not public, so the attacker must already hold a low-privileged authenticated back-office session (PR:L) and must socially engineer a back-office user into submitting the crafted request (UI:P), which is why the independent assessment scores this CVSS 3.1 AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N (base 5.1 under CVSS 4.0). No public exploit code identified at time of analysis, no confirmed active exploitation, and SSVC records Exploitation: none with Automatable: no and Technical Impact: partial, so real-world urgency is low across every available signal; an upstream fix is available in pull request #1809, but a released patched version was not independently confirmed.
RemediationAI
The primary fix is the upstream code change in QloApps pull request #1809 (https://github.com/Qloapps/QloApps/pull/1809), which reworks the demand/facility rendering paths implicated by the vulnerable controller and template; however, because only a PR/commit reference is available, an upstream fix is available but a released patched version was not independently confirmed, so verify the current release notes or repository tags before assuming a distributed build contains the fix. If you must build from source, track the repository at https://github.com/Qloapps/QloApps and apply PR #1809 or a later release, then confirm the price value in form.tpl is emitted through Smarty's escape:'html':'UTF-8' modifier before it is re-displayed. If you cannot patch immediately, apply these specific compensating controls and accept their trade-offs: (1) restrict the back-office to a trusted management network or VPN/IP allowlist so untrusted remote users cannot reach AdminRoomTypeGlobalDemand at all - effective, but it blocks legitimate remote administration and can be bypassed if an attacker is already inside the trusted network; (2) if the Additional Facilities / global demand feature is not used operationally, disable the module or the demand form entirely, which removes the attack surface but also removes legitimate facility add-on pricing from bookings; (3) enforce least privilege on back-office accounts and review which low-privileged roles can open and submit the Additional Facilities form, since the assessed vector requires PR:L - this reduces the number of sessions an attacker can pivot through but does not eliminate the flaw; (4) add a Content-Security-Policy that blocks inline script on the admin origin as a defense-in-depth layer, recognizing that PrestaShop-derived admin UIs frequently need inline script and the policy may break functionality until tuned. Note that the flaw requires victim interaction (UI:P) on top of an authenticated session, so reinforcing administrator awareness against submitting links or forms from unsolicited sources is a meaningful, low-cost control. Technical ContextAI · show details
This is a textbook CWE-79 (Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation, i.e. reflected XSS) defect in QloApps, an open-source hotel property management and booking engine derived from PrestaShop's admin architecture. The vulnerable flow lives in the hotelreservationsystem module: the back-office controller at modules/hotelreservationsystem/controllers/admin/AdminRoomTypeGlobalDemand.php (lines 200-232) handles the Additional Facilities / global demand (demand price) form, and the companion Smarty template modules/hotelreservationsystem/views/templates/admin/room_type_global_demand/helpers/form/form.tpl (lines 208-209) renders the submitted price back into the form. When validation of the price field fails, the controller re-displays the form with the attacker-supplied value inserted without HTML context encoding, so a payload such as a script-bearing string is interpreted by the browser as markup rather than text. Because the sink is the admin-area form rather than a public storefront page, the script executes with the privileges and session context of the logged-in back-office operator, giving the cross-site scripting a changed scope (S:C) in the assessed vector. Note that the multi-source feed carries a 'Microsoft' tag alongside the XSS tag, which appears to be a tagging artifact: neither the vendor advisory, the CVE record, nor the affected code references any Microsoft product. The referenced upstream pull request #1809 restructures the demand/facility rendering paths (including changes to the admin order/cart view templates and removal of the _cart_booking_demands.tpl template), which indicates the fix addresses the affected code path rather than relying on a single escaping change.

DescriptionCVE.org
QloApps through 1.7.0 contains a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability that allows remote attackers to inject scripts through the price parameter of the back-office Additional Facilities form. Attackers can induce an authenticated back-office user to submit a crafted request whose unescaped price value is re-rendered after failing validation, executing JavaScript in the administrative session.
