2DescriptionCVE.org
An XML External Entity (XXE) vulnerability exists in multiple WSO2 products due to improper configuration of the XML parser. The application parses user-supplied XML without applying sufficient restrictions, allowing resolution of external entities.
A successful attack could enable a remote, unauthenticated attacker to read sensitive files from the server's filesystem or perform denial-of-service (DoS) attacks that render affected services unavailable.
AnalysisAI
An XML External Entity (XXE) vulnerability exists in multiple WSO2 products due to improper configuration of the XML parser. Rated medium severity (CVSS 6.5), this vulnerability is remotely exploitable, low attack complexity. No vendor patch available.
Technical ContextAI
This vulnerability is classified as XML External Entity (XXE) (CWE-611), which allows attackers to read arbitrary files or perform SSRF through XML processing. Affected products include: Wso2 Api Control Plane, Wso2 Api Manager, Wso2 Enterprise Integrator, Wso2 Identity Server, Wso2 Open Banking Am.
RemediationAI
No vendor patch is available at time of analysis. Monitor vendor advisories for updates. Disable external entity processing in XML parsers, use JSON instead of XML where possible.
