Description

An Improper Authentication vulnerability in the SSLVPN authentication mechanism allows a remote attacker to bypass authentication.

SonicWall SonicOS SSLVPN contains an authentication bypass vulnerability allowing remote attackers to bypass authentication mechanisms and gain unauthorized VPN access to protected networks.

Technical Context

The CWE-287 authentication bypass in the SSLVPN authentication mechanism allows unauthenticated attackers to circumvent login controls through crafted requests, gaining the same access as legitimately authenticated VPN users.
