Lifecycle Timeline
4Description
CEF (Chromium Embedded Framework ) is a simple framework for embedding Chromium-based browsers in other applications. `CefLayeredWindowUpdaterOSR::OnAllocatedSharedMemory` does not check the size of the shared memory, which leads to out-of-bounds read outside the sandbox. This vulnerability was patched in commit 1f55d2e.
Analysis
CEF (Chromium Embedded Framework ) is a simple framework for embedding Chromium-based browsers in other applications. Rated medium severity (CVSS 5.3), this vulnerability is remotely exploitable. Public exploit code available.
Technical Context
This vulnerability is classified as Out-of-bounds Read (CWE-125), which allows attackers to read data from memory outside the intended buffer boundaries. Affected products include: Chromiumembedded Chromium Embedded Framework.
Affected Products
Chromiumembedded Chromium Embedded Framework.
Remediation
