IBM Storage Protect Client contains a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability caused by improper bounds checking in string copy operations. A remote unauthenticated attacker could exploit this flaw to execute arbitrary code on the affected system or cause a crash, resulting in potential full system compromise or denial of service.
